Ian Sanchez
Ian Sanchez - During his time at OHS, this senior found that his exposure to engineering fundamentals defined his love for engineering. Working with different groups on different projects and having to adapt was fun for Ian. These experiences led him to choose Mechatronics Engineering as his area of study after graduation.
Favorite OHS Memory - “Meeting all sorts of people and becoming friends with most of them.”
What lessons will you take away from your OHS experience? - “To gain success in what you want to do, you must want that success more than your next breath.”
Describe something about OHS that stands out to you - “It was a different experience from what I was used to since I went from the Christian School to Ottumwa High School.”
Greatest Accomplishment - “Learning CAD and engineering skills and becoming really good at CAD.”
Most Influential Teacher - “Mr.Scott and a former teacher, Mr.Gabel, taught me that learning doesn’t just have to be all books and papers - it’s all about being in the experience.”
