Saige Knight

Saige Knight - This active senior was involved in swimming, cheer, and tennis during her time at OHS.  She served as the captain of the girls swim team for two years. She will carry her swim experience forward as she plans to attend Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge and participate on their swim team.

Favorite OHS Memory - “Every year that the boys did cheerleading with some of the cheerleaders.”

Describe something about your OHS experience that stands out to you - “All the grades stick together when it comes to class competitions and things that include class rivalry. I love it.”

What lessons will you take away from your OHS experience? - “Even if something in a class seems really easy in the beginning so you hold it off for later, do it sooner because you could possibly run into complications with the assignment.”

Most Influential Teacher - “I can’t choose one. All of the teachers that taught me throughout my high school career, were all there for me. They were the ones who understood what I was going through especially since they went through it once. They were always the ones who were able to cheer me up when I had a rough day.”

Defining experience - “When I was in powderpuff, I slid on the turf causing my leg to get cut open. I still kept going. I wanted to finish the game and fight through pain. No matter what happened, I pushed through it all.”

Advice to Underclassmen - “Stay positive and you’ll make it through high school. Don’t get into the drama, it’ll just cause problems for your class work time.”
