Yasmena Diaz
Yasmena Diaz - This senior participated in volleyball, tennis, swim, track and GEAR UP. Her busy schedule did not interfere with working towards her educational goals. Yasmena plans to go into the nursing program at Indian Hills Community College.
Defining experience at OHS - “As I proceeded with my clinicals for nursing essentials I found myself working at a nursing home taking care of amazing people and building my relationship with them. I care about others' health and I want to pursue that.”
Greatest Accomplishment - “Being on honor roll and receiving academic certificates.”
Advice to Underclassmen - “You can’t grow in your comfort zone so go ahead and get out of it. Take the harder classes that everyone complains about and push yourself harder; it’ll only set you up for success.”
