Jillian Heaton

Jillian Heaton started playing sports in second grade. As a high school athlete, she has been involved in varsity softball and track.  Her other activities included Meistersingers, Sudden Impact show choir, Tes Trams sorority, and National Honor Society. She also earned a silver cord for graduation by completing over 200 hours of community service. 
 
She plans to attend Indian Hills Community College in the education program with hopes to start her journey towards a degree in education/special education. 
 
Something about your OHS experience that stands out -  “I met a lot of influential teachers and coaches who have encouraged me to pursue a degree in teaching.”
 
Favorite OHS Memory - “My favorite OHS memory is going to state with my OHS softball team.  It was a great honor.”
 
How did you give back to your community? -  “By volunteering at the Mayhem Haunted House to support 4H, Blessings Soup Kitchen, and at local ball fields and tournaments in the community.”
 
Favorite OHS classes - “12th grade English with Ms. Aljets.  She makes class interesting and is always there to listen.”
 
Advice to underclassmen -  “Enjoy your time and make great friends.”
