Two relay teams qualified for state during the girl's district swimming competition Saturday, November 2. Leah Chelgren, Libby Moses, Mac Payne, and Saige Knight, will compete in the Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay. This is the first time Ottumwa has sent girls to compete at state in over 10 years. Alternates for the relay teams will be Lauren Kaldenberg and Drennan Lindberg. Fun fact: According to Coach Langland, Saige Knight swam the fastest 50 free split in OHS girls swimming history! Her time would have broken a long standing school record but is a relay split so it doesnt officially count.
