On October 2, students at Evans and Ottumwa High School will have an opportunity to sit down for breakfast with their school resource officers as part of the national Coffee With a Cop day. In its fourth year, the event is an opportunity to encourage communication and positive interactions between law enforcement and the public. The day is held annually on the first Wednesday in October nationwide to bridge the gap between the community and the law.
School Resource Officers are assigned to both secondary schools in Ottumwa. Officers serving our district include: Chase Johnson, Evans; and Brandon Gravett and Scott Carlson, OHS.
