Students and their parent(s) are asked to attend an orientation and sign an acceptable use policy for students to receive their Chromebook computer.
The orientations are part of the district's 1:1 initiative rollout that will provide a Chromebook to every high school student, starting in August. The August orientations will begin at 6 p.m. and last approximately one hour. Parents/students with students in multiple grades may attend just one orientation. If unable to attend on their assigned night, parents/students may attend on another orientation night. Devices are issued only if: 1) a student is registered for the school year in PowerSchool, 2) student/parent completed 1:1 orientation, and 3) student/parent signed the accpetable use policy. The orientation schedule includes:
- Juniors – August 6
- Sophomores – August 13
- Freshmen – August 15
Make Up Orientation Date – August 22 (Use the link below to sign up for Aug. 22.)
New students should attend orientation either Aug. 13, 15 or 22, regardless of grade level. This delayed 1:1 orientation attendance will ensure that all new student accounts have been created and synchronized before students are assigned their devices.
Parents who have not gone through the eRegistration process can arrive at 5:30 p.m. to complete eRegistration prior to the orientation session or complete the process after the orientation session prior to receiving a device.
