The Ottumwa Bulldogs Archery Team hosted their first home tournament on December 16. The Evans Middle School team
placed third and Ottumwa High School placed fourth in Bullseye Competition.
Individual archers receiving medals included:
- Ty Tucker 4th place, Evans Middle School
- OHS archers Thatcher Pierson, 1st place, OHS
- Jeffery Shauman, 3rd place, OHS
- Michaela-Ann Schlechter, 3rd place OHS
In 3-D Competition, team awards went to Liberty Elementary, third place; Evans Middle School, third
place; and Ottumwa High School, third place. Individual archers receiving medals included:
- Alondra Huisinga, 4th place, Evans
- William Miller 2nd place, Evans
- Ty Tucker 4th place, Evans
- Thatcher Pierson 4th place, OHS
- Brittany Vandenburg 6th place, OHS
Many of the new and returning archers have been setting career high scores at each competition. Coaches of the
group are proud of the archers and appreciate the support of the parents and the Ottumwa Community School
District. The Ottumwa Archery Team will participate in weekly competitions throughout Iowa January
through March.
