The Ottumwa Community School District is planning to send a test message out to parents on Tuesday, November 20 at 6 p.m. via a text. This will allow the district to test the new alert system that is part of PowerSchool.
Parents can list several numbers to receive alerts in the alert system, Swift K12. Parents access this by logging into their PowerSchool parent account, then selecting the Swift K12 link at the top of the left navigation list. Once on the Swift K12 landing page, parents can update their contact information or change their alert preferences using links across the top of the page.
If you do not receive a text message Tuesday night, check your alert contacts in PowerSchool and make the necessary changes or contact your school secretary to set up a PowerSchool parent account. Swift K12 is not available on the PowerSchool the mobile app.
