Four OHS vocal students were recently selected to participate in the 32nd Annual Opus Honor Choir Festival.
Students selected include Cole Denner, North Lindell, Kaya Baca and Lorna Bauer. All students are in ninth grade.
Close to 3,000 students were nominated by their high school directors for 720 positions in the four Opus Honor Choirs. Selections were made by means of a recorded audition. The 2018 Opus Honor Choir will perform at 4 p.m. November 15 in C.Y. Stephens Auditorium in the Iowa State Center in Ames. The Opus Honor Choir Festival is made possible by the Iowa Choral Directors Association, Inc. The students are under the direction of Dennis Vasconez.
