ACT Catch Up Academies for first semester have been scheduled for:
- September 29th
- November 3rd
- December 1st
Academies will run from 8:30 a.m. until noon at Ottumwa High School. A light breakfast will be provided. Teachers will be available to assist students in 9th-12th grade on all core subjects. New this year, Gear Up is also offering ACT test prep during the Academies. The test prep will be divided into two sessions, and to limit interruptions, students need to plan to attend all of one or both sessions. The sessions will run from 8:45 - 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. - noon. This DOES require prior sign up for the students and more information will be shared at OHS. We are utilizing Cambridge Educational Services for our test prep program, which has shown to be very successful with other districts. "I am so excited to have this available for Ottumwa High School students!" said Barb Hanson, GEAR UP facilitator.
