OHS Principal Accepts Position in Burlington

Ottumwa High School principal, Cory Johnson, has verbally accepted a position as Curriculum Director for the Burlington Community School District. He has resigned his position as high school principal, effective the end of June.

“I have had many valuable experiences this year and value the relationships,” said Johnson in a message to the OHS staff. “I am fully committed to OHS and the Ottumwa Community Schools for the remainder of this year and want to ensure a smooth transition. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you.”

“As a district, we will be looking for a new high school principal for the upcoming year and will be posting the anticipated job effective immediately,” said Superintendent Nicole Kooiker.
