Thirty-four new teachers are starting their jobs in the Ottumwa district today. Their schedule for the first three days includes:
- Meeting and working with their mentor
- New teacher luncheon with administrators
- Classroom preparations
- New Teacher Boot Camp - an orientation on district initiatives including math, literacy, and Imagine Learning
- Archery training for new physical education teachers
