Parent-Teacher Conferences in the Ottumwa School District will be held Monday – Thursday, February 27-March 2 for grades preK-12. District-wide conference times are 4-7:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday and 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and 4-7 p.m. on Thursday. No classes will be held on Thursday and Friday.
Ottumwa Community Preschool will host conferences on Tuesday, February 28 and Thursday, March 2. Parents will receive their scheduled appointments prior to conferences.
Eisenhower, Horace Mann, James, and Wilson Elementary Schools will hold conferences on Monday, February 27. Douma and Liberty will hold conferences on Tuesday, February 28. All elementary schools will also schedule conferences on Thursday. Elementary conferences are by appointment only. Please contact your child's teacher to schedule an appointment.
Parents of students attending Evans Middle School may visit with teachers on Monday or Thursday. Sixth grade conferences are scheduled. Seventh and eighth grade will follow an open house format, no appointments are needed. Please use the main school entrance.
Ottumwa High School advisory teachers will contact parents in February about conferences. Parents are asked to see their student’s advisory teacher first. The advisor will have important documents for parents to review, including the student’s academic transcript, a Graduation Requirement Checklist, a progress report for the current semester, and a 2017-18 course request list. All teachers will be in the cafeteria on Tuesday, February 28 between 4 – 7:30 p.m. and Thursday, March 2 from 4 - 7 p.m. All OHS teachers will be available in their classrooms for walk-in appointments on Thursday from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. This format allows parents to meet with their student’s advisory teacher and any classroom teachers to discuss academic performance. Interpreters will be located in the cafeteria if needed.
