The Ottumwa High School show choir, Sudden Impact, competed again on Saturday, February 27 at the Southeast Polk Show Choir Invitational. Fourteen show choirs competed at this event. Sudden Impact was selected to the finals round for the 12th straight competition. The group placed third runner-up during the finals round.
OHS senior, Melanie Enloe, was awarded the Outstanding Female Soloist. This award is only given to one soloist for the entire day. This is her second award in as many show choir competitions. She was awarded a $5,000 music scholarship to Morningside College during her last performance.
