The OHS marching band, Pride of Ottumwa, took 1st place in class 4A and 2nd place overall in the Muskie Marching Invitational in Muscatine on Saturday. Along with winning their first invitational, they also took home the "Best Hornline" award. There were 12 bands competing and it was some of the toughest competition yet, according to band director, Troy Gerleman. "We are very excited as this was a great step in the right direction competitively."
