Several Ottumwa High School students were recipients of awards and scholarships at the annual Springfest Concert on Monday, May 12 in the OHS auditorium.
Students recognized included: Kiwanis Scholarship, Maddie McKelvey; Instrumentalist Magazine Award, Maddie McKelvey; Most Improved Player, Sebastian Silva; Right Hand Award, Elynna Perry; National Orchestra Award, Emily Cutsforth; Outstanding Orchestra Member Award, Sebastian Silva; John Phillip Sousa Award, Jill Ardueser; Louis Armstrong Award, Jarrett Johnson; Semper Fidelius Award, Marcus O’Brien; and Director’s Award for Band, Cassie Jaegers, Luke McDonald, Linda Voigt and Andy McMullin.
The orchestra was conducted by Patty Babb and the band by Alex Mason and Troy Gerleman.
