Piper with owner, Jen Chesnut
A second therapy dog has been added to Ottumwa High School .
Currently, Gus, a therapy dog owned by OHS science teacher, Jen Chesnut, serves the building a few days each week. Chesnut’s dog, Piper, a Shepadoodle, recently completed and passed the required training. Piper will alternate duties and responsibilities with Gus. Chesnut shared with the board that working eight hour days can be tiring to the dogs.
