OHS senior, Jaylin Carter, signed a national letter of intent to play basketball for Iowa Central Community College on Tuesday. She is the daughter of Chad and Amanda Larkin and John Carter.
Carter plans to complete her Liberal Arts degree at Iowa Central, then transfer to a four year university to major in communications and sports management. A three year varsity letter winner, other basketball accomplishments include: All Conference Honorable Mention Selection during her Junior year, All Conference Second Team Selection her senior year, and All-Courier Second Team Selection her senior year.
Academic accomplishments include: National Honor Society Torch Club Member and the Principal’s Academic Award all four years. She will graduate from OHS with 24 dual college credits from Indian Hills Community College. Carter is also a three year varsity volleyball letter winner; two year varsity track letter winner and a state participant in track. She has also served as an OHS student council member for three years and is class vice president.
