The Ottumwa Tennis Club is offering tennis lessons in July for elementary and middle school students.
Groups will meet July 10-27 either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. Lessons will be held at Dan Staggs Courts in Ottumwa Park and times are based on grades and ability. Instructors will be Leanna Nelson, current OHS girls tennis coach, and Trey Thomas, a former OHS tennis player. Cost is $30 per student for the three-week session. Scholarships are available.
The tennis club is also offering a Bulldog Tennis Camp for students entering grades 7-12. The camp will run from July 10-27 and is offered Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 12-1:30 p.m. at the Dan Staggs Courts in Ottumwa Park. Cost is $40. Nelson and Thomas will also provide instruction at the camp. Scholarships and rackets are available.
