Wrestlers Take Own Invitational Title

The OHS wrestling team went out to win and didn't disappoint head coach, Jeremy Frueh. "It was a great day for the kids," said Frueh. "They had a goal of winning the tournament as a team and they went out and took care of business."

The team competed against seven teams, including Burlington, Des Moines Lincoln, Newton, Iowa City, Des Moines East, Fairfield, and Davenport North. Ottumwa won the invitational with a team score of 231. Burlington placed second with a 202.5. Five individual wrestlers also took first place wins, including, Isaiah Cox, 182; Wyatt Schlotter, 145; Nate Cary, 132; Johnny Morales, 126; and Alec Clark, 106.
