OHS vocal student, Bethany Woodall, was recently selected for participation in the 29th annual Opus Honor Choir Festival. Over 3,500 students were nominated by their directors for 720 positions in the four Opus Honor Choirs. Selections were made by means of a recorded audition. Woodall was selected into the ninth grade mixed choir. She is a member of the Ottumwa High School vocal department under the direction of Dennis Vasconez.
The 2014 Opus Honor Choir will perform on Saturday, November 29 at 4 p.m. in C.Y. Stephens Auditorium in the Iowa State Center in Ames. The Opus Honor Choir Festival is under the auspices of the Iowa Choral Directors Association, Inc.
