The Ottumwa Community School District’s annual Springfest Concert, featuring high school band and orchestra students, will be held on Sunday, May 15 at 2 p.m. in the OHS Auditorium.
The performance will begin with the concert band, directed by Troy Gerleman and Alex Mason. Selections will include two John Williams selections, including “Soundtrack Highlights” and “Chillers and Thrillers.”
The string orchestra will feature three popular string pieces, "Sweet Dreams are Made of This" by Eurhythmics, "Radioactive" as sung by Imagine Dragons, and "And So It Goes" by Billy Joel. The finale will be a full symphonic medley of the “Star Wars” movies with a special surprise included!
Band Awards, Director Awards, and Orchestra Awards will also be presented. Students who have earned enough points to letter will also be recognized.
