Students Recognized at Annual Success Banquet

Nineteen students at Ottumwa High School will be honored at the Stepping Toward Success Banquet on February 11. These students have also chosen nineteen different teachers to thank for their success. Stepping Toward Success is an annual banquet given in honor of upperclassmen who have dramatically improved his or her behavioral and/or academic performance in school in spite of significant obstacles. The banquet includes a meal, student and staff speaker, and an awards ceremony. Students being honored this year are:  Nicole Kekpoh, Chance Courtney, Star Clawson, Angelica Melling, Meghan Gruber, Daryan Cheely, Rosa Ramirez Caraballo, and Omar Pascual-Flores. Also Rosa Laguna, Joseph Lyons, Lois Ivey, Trevor Medina, Meholynn Saito, Daniel Breuer, Dakoda Craft, Javier Escalera, Lucas Simmers, Phillip Olmstead, and Jaycyk Hyde.
