The Ottumwa High School Broadway Bulldogs will perform two short plays on December 5, 6, and 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the OHS auditorium.
“The Girl Who Was Asked to Turn Blue” by Ev Miller is about a 16-year-old girl who finds herself in a world where everyone is blue. She must decide whether to burn blue to conform and be accepted or to maintain her individuality and become an outcast. The cast includes: Lindzey Rivera, Ellen Willhoit, Bret Doud, Brittany Kirkman, Chris Caldwell, Madyson Randall, Sara Brasher, Kasidee Henderson, Breanna Kellar, Briar Kellar, Nicole Kekpoh, and Renato Zejnilovic.
“More Perfect Union” by Harold Weiss centers around the Blytheville High School Glee Club. Sophie is from "across the tracks." The glee club members are excited about what dress they will wear for a special concert. It turns bitter when Sophie is falsely accused of stealing her dress. The cast includes: Kate Martin, Leilah Armstrong, Jordan Young, Seleena Richardson, Pauline Weah, Talitha Ford, Piper Fox, Mallorie Gray, and Madalynn McKelvey.
