Students to Perform at All State Festival

Congratulations to the Ottumwa High School Large Group Speech team as they advance their one act play, "Bang Bang You're Dead," written by William Mastrisimone and directed by Natalie Saunders, to the All State Festival on February 21 on the Iowa State University campus.  The season started with 190 one act plays across the state and Ottumwa was selected as one of the final outstanding groups at State Competition on February 7.  Ottumwa is one of only eight groups that were selected to perform at the festival.

The Broadway Bulldog group consists of:  Breanna Kellar, Nerissa Rader, Elynna Perry, Chris Caldwell, Peyton Nelson, Mallorie Gray, Paul Cartwright, Kaylee Pomykaj, Dylan Allman, Kate Martin, Philip Ringgenberg, Bret Doud, and Nate Robinsion.  Absent from the photo is Nathan Leege.

“Ottumwa has been recognized as outstanding many times in the category of One Act Play but this is the first time they will actually get to perform at the festival,” said Natalie Saunders, OHS speech and debate coach.
