Linda Voigt and Jessica Horvath
Three OHS Debate teams traveled to Des Moines East this past weekend for the first tournament of the year. Teams included: Jessica Horvath and Linda Voigt (second year veterans); Olivia Bohlmann and Paul Cartright (Olivia is a freshman novice, Paul a second year veteran); and Kalina Eskew and Alexandra Reeves (freshman novices).
Out of the 45 Public Forum teams in attendance, the Ottumwa team of Horvath and Voigt took eighth place. According to Coach Amy Drake, the only round they lost all day was to the first-place team.
The OHS Debate team travels to Marshalltown on November 15-16 for the NFL Fall Conference.
