Talented and gifted students (TAG) at Ottumwa High School celebrated Make A Difference Day by giving back to their community.
Students were tasked with designing an activity that would make an impact on their city or help people in need. Gabrielle Krafka, Malany Parker, Cheyenne Reed, and Kaleigh Vandenberg spent an afternoon at Vista Woods. They assisted in serving residents lunch, interviewed them about what their lives were like growing up, and helped lead a Halloween craft activity. Lily Anderson, Ryley Hougland, Eli McDanel, and Danielle Rich chose to spend an afternoon cleaning up Ottumwa Park. This group of students was also recognized by the “Make Ottumwa Shine” committee.
