Ottumwa High School recognized 17 students Thursday night who have taken steps towards a bright future.
The 5th Annual Stepping Towards Success Banquet was held in the OHS cafeteria to recognize students in grades 10-12 who were nominated by a faculty member for improving or maintaining excellence in their academics, behavior, attendance, or overall citizenship. Frequently, many students have had to overcome obstacles in their lives to turn things around.
OHS honors the following students for their hard work, determination, and grit: Kaitlin McDaniel, Brett Bennett, Devin Hager, Terrance Smith, Andyy Ware, Kaylie Courtney, Skylee Trimble, Travis Brunner, Joey Wymer, Caroline McDowell, Makayla Zapata, Hannah Wright, Elizabeth Mejia, Arista Petary, Gary Post, Philip Ringgenberg, and Brett Dawson.
