Students wishing to attend a four-year university are required to take the ACT test. There are limited fee waivers for the test. Contact Mrs. McKinnon, Registrar in the Guidance Office, for more information. Students interested in taking the ACT test can use the following testing schedule:

Students interested in test preparation options can use the links below:
- Ottumwa High School ACT Test Preparation course each fall semester, students in grades 10-12. This course fulfills one (1) elective credit towards their graduation requirements.
- Students can enroll in a free, online Plato course to prepare for the ACT. This is a self-paced, online program. See the Plato teacher to register.
- Both www.act.org and www.collegeboard.com have study resources on their websites.
