2014 Sudden Impact
The Ottumwa middle and high school jazz bands and show choirs will host Sweets and Sounds on Monday, January 26 at Bridge View Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and desserts will be served throughout the evening. Admission is $5 per student and $7 per adult.
Jazz band and show choir are extracurricular activities within the Ottumwa fine arts department. High school students audition to participate and rehearse outside the school day in these groups. The evening will end with a sneak preview of Sudden Impact's 2015 show. The high-energy high school show choir competition performance is approximately 18 minutes long, featuring five songs with choreography and costume changes. They will compete in several invitationals in February and March.
