Two Ottumwa High School seniors were recognized during the Homecoming pep assembly for being Bulldog Tough. The award was created this year to recognize students who have a “don’t quit” attitude.
Madisyn Schlotter has been battling Rumination Syndrome over a year. This is a very rare disease that causes her to not be able to eat or keep food down. Due to the rarity of this syndrome, she has to eat through a PIC line and has missed a tremendous amount of school. Principal Hanson shared with the student body that she “shows great grit and stick-to-itness.”
Madison Wiley works hard at everything she does. According to Hanson, she was a star on the powderpuff football field this week and is an outstanding athlete in various sports.
