OHS senior, Lindzey Rivera, and sophomore Adam Dimmitt, were recognized Friday for Pursuing Victory with Honor.
Rivera, was seen helping a fellow student with recycling. According to his nominating teacher, "All year long, he has been extremely respectful to students with disabilities. He is a member of Best Buddies, and he says hello to them in the hallways, comes to talk with them between classes, and asks about how they're doing. He is a very honorable student and person, and a valuable asset to OHS."
Dimmitt was seen giving a pencil to a student who needed one. The nominating teacher wrote, "A small, kind gesture, but I'm sure it was pretty big for the student."
Teachers nominate students who demonstrate honor and are a positive influence on other students. Students receive a certificate and their first period class is treated to donuts.
