Volleyball Coach Resigns

Jessica Carson

After seven years leading the OHS varsity volleyball squad, Coach Jessica Carson is stepping down. The announcement came today from Ottumwa's Athletic Director, Mike Egbert.

"This was a tough decision for me," said Carson. "I just feel like the team wasn't progressing the way I would have liked.  I have been a head volleyball coach for Ottumwa for 7 years and have an overall record of 150-98. There are some good groups of younger players coming up which should lead to a bright future."

"I would like to thank Coach Carson for her years of service as the Head Volleyball Coach at OHS," said Egbert. "She was a dedicated coach and has left the program in a position for future success. The position will be advertised to find the best candidate available to lead the Bulldog volleyball program."
