• All staff receive mandatory emergency training each year, and are assigned to an emergency team (Search & Rescue, First Aid, Student Release, Student Supervision, Security, Shelter & Sanitation). We run a simulation of a major earthquake in the fall of each year, and practice our emergency procedures. More detailed information around our annual Earthquake Drill is sent to families at the time of the drill. Additionally, we practice state-mandated fire drills, lockdown drills, and review active shooter protocols. All trainings, drills, protocols, and procedures are updated annually to reflect current best practices in securing the safety and security of students.
