Katie Meyerpeter has lived in the Birmingham area all of her life. She has a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Montevallo and a Masters in Gifted Education from Samford University. Mrs. Meyerpeter is passionate about finding ways to spark a love of learning in her students and helping them make connections to the "real world". Mrs. Meyerpeter is married to Scott and they have two children, Pierce and Berkeley. The family enjoys playing with their two dogs, Sierra and Murphy, as well as their guinea pigs, Oreo and Sugar.
