Hello MGSD Parents,
Please find a summary of the 4th Quarter Learning Plans as approved by the Board of Education last night at this link: Summary of MGSD Learning Plan for 4th Quarter. It is important to note that the Governor's announcement did not change the 6 feet social distancing guideline for our students in grades 6 through 12.
- If your student is in the MOA, there will be no change for your student.
- If your student is in grades K - 5, there will be no change to their learning plan.
- If your student is in grade 6, they will spend 2 days per week in-person with their cohort, socially distanced, and 3 days per week logging in for synchronous remote learning with their teacher and class.
- If your student is in grades 7 - 12, they will be in the building 1 to 3 days per week (depending on cohort size). On days they are not in the building, they will log into class remotely for synchronous learning with their teacher.
If your student is in grades 6 - 12, you will receive an email with additional information and a form to be filled out committing your child to either a hybrid learning model where your child attends in-person learning on their cohort days or a fully remote learning model. This form must be filled out and returned so that we can properly size our in-person cohorts for social distancing. In this form, you will also have the option to sign up for bus transportation. In order to help our transportation department with bus routes and social distancing constraints, we kindly ask that you only fill out the transportation request if you know you will use bussing.
Please let us know if you have any questions, and thank you for being part of MGSD!
