       4.    Principal Update - Mr. Robins

    • Had an awesome night at STEAM night.  We had a great turn out and people just kept filing in. Could we possibly tie the science fair into that night. Even just having the flyers thereto advertise for the science fair. Good to keep events separate.
    • Big thank you for Halloween! Loved having Safety week at the same time. Next year Halloween is on Thursday.
      • Would like to stay away from a Halloween parade. It’s a little too many people to bring to the school. It’s just a major safety issue.
    • Just a Big THANK YOU!
    • Be aware of the calendar around Thanksgiving. Encourage kids to be here for those 2 days of that week.
    • We’re 1/3 of the way through the year!

       5.    Service Club- Mr. Mallory

    • Next Friday - gratefulness for the teachers. Wreaths from kids’ hands.
    • December service club will be a little crazy- they want to make visuals for custodians, office staff, etc. Kids add to the visual. Christmas will be sweater with marshmallows!
    • Got a poster maker this year! Essentially you just use a file, and send it to the printer.
    • Kindness Night is May 10th

       6.    Teacher Representative- Carol DeFriez

    • ELL Night May 2nd
    • Thank you for all the help with Halloween activities.
    • Next week is the book fair! Scholastic is making it a little more complicated. She is needing mor volunteers to help! Nov. 13th – 17th
    • Christmas Parties - December 21st from 2:30-3:30 (Maybe change the name to Winter or Holiday party next year)
      • Room parents should reach out to each teacher to finalize plans

       7.    Reflections- Awards night for all participates Nov 29th @ 5:30– Emily Rigby

    • Struggling to find enough volunteers, if anyone can help with setup or take down would be great!

       8.    Panda Express Kickback update- Rindy

    • Dec. 7th is the tentative night but she needs to hear back from Panda.
    • Most likely will have McDonald’s in January sometime.

      9.     Nominating Committee Individuals

    • We need to find a Treasurer and President Elect for next year.
    • Possibly Bethany Reed and Kendal Welker
    • Have names ready for next meeting to vote on.

    10.    STEAM Night, Thurs Nov 9th 6-7:30-

Spread the word! We want as many as possible to come and enjoy this event with their families. Need volunteers to come help set up tables at 4:45

    • We will do it next year; we had a great turn out!  We will do it again in November.
    • The High School helped out and Beverly Sanders was a great contact.

    11.    School Wide Literacy Book- Do we have the funds with the PTA’s budget and the school’s budget to get the books for this event?

    • Don’t have an answer for that right now. Possibly we should do one book per family. Natalie will follow up on this.
    • Is there a grant we could apply for?
      • One kid one book?
      • 100% for kids?

    FYI:

    • Thank you to all volunteers who helped with vision screening
    • Thank you, Heidi Burton and Ashley Nielsen, for organizing Safety Week!
    • Thank you to all Volunteers that helped with Halloween Activities
