Nichole Anderson

My name is Nichole Anderson and I teach first grade at Millville Elementary.  I have been teaching since 2007, first at River Heights Elementary and now at Millville!  I am married to Matthew Anderson and together we have three beautiful children, Tylie, Noah, and Tucker.  We also have a few pets at home as well. I live in Millville, so work is not too far away. I love to spend time with my family.  We enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities together like camping, hiking, swimming, bike riding, and going for walks. We also enjoy going to movies and going out to dinner.  Some of my hobbies are reading and crocheting. I love Dr. Pepper and all kinds of treats. My favorite animal is frogs. In fact, my whole classroom is decorated with them.  Most of all, I love teaching children and hope to keep doing it for many more years.

Laurie Norr

I have taught first grade for 18 years. I love helping children reach their potential. Besides teaching reading and math to kids, I always strive to teach kindness and leadership skills. Part of my teaching philosophy is that in order to change the world, each of us has to be the change we want to see. As kids learn how to be kind and lead others with kindness, the world will change. Besides teaching, I enjoy gardening, walking and hiking, reading, chocolate and chips and salsa. I have a dog named Roxy and a cat named Taz. They say pets and owners seem to look alike....Roxy, Taz and I are all old, 'fluffy' and somewhat sassy ;)  I have four adult children, three daughters and one son. I am the proud grandma of ten grandchildren. I'd like to end with one of my favorite quotes (I don't know the author of this)  "In 100 years it will not matter what car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, or what my bank account was. My hope is that the world will be a better place, because I was important in the life of a child."
