CREATING ART FROM NATURE

Course Description

Meeting at Myrick Park – Rod & Gun Shelter

This outdoor, studio-based class is designed to help student artists embrace their individuality and creativity in art and nature. We will explore a variety of artistic processes including:

Drawing, Painting, Printing, Basket making, Weaving, Found nature sculpture, Photography

Students will learn how to incorporate materials from nature into meaningful art projects while building self-confidence, and developing problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity skills. Each project will tie into our connection with the natural world and art. Please wear comfortable clothing, bring sunscreen, a water bottle, bug spray, and a snack if you want one. You will be walking/hiking on paved and/or gravel trails during this course.
