It is a great time to be a Maroon!

Currently, we are home to over 1050 students.  There are many accolades that demonstrate our rich traditions and strong commitment to academics and athletics, including the 2015 state triple jump champion, Aleah Nix; the ten-time Class 4A Marching Maroon State Champions; state and national award-winning cheerleading squad; and regional champion archery team.  Academically, the classes of 2009 and 2010 have earned the highest ACT scores in the region.  We have co- and extracurricular clubs that teach our students the value of community service such as Future Business Leaders of America; Key Club; Family, Career, Community Leaders of America, and many more.

It is an honor and a privilege to serve as Principal of Madisonville North Hopkins High School, working alongside the more than 100 faculty and staff members to create an environment of excitement and energy to educate the workforce of tomorrow.  The teachers and staff members are hardworking, dedicated individuals teaching rigorous courses to prepare our children for the next level.  Many teachers “come early/stay late” to assist students in mastery of their subject.  Also, we offer Extended School Services and a reading enhancement program for additional help as needed. The Madisonville North Hopkins High School web site has a wealth of information about academic courses and extracurricular activities, as well as our mission statement, information about faculty and staff, and other important announcements.  In addition, our Youth Resources Center offers school supplies as well as other necessary items for those students who may need them.

It takes a village to raise a child, and the nurturing doesn’t stop once they enter high school.  I encourage you to take an active role in your child’s high school career and get the MNHHS parent portal.  MNHHS has over 75% of parents with the parent portal.  If you are not receiving our school newsletter, please provide your email address.  Please visit our website for ways to get involved with activities such as Olympic Field Day, Project Graduation, and a newly formed volunteer program.  My administrative team is available to assist you in any way.  Please feel free to contact us at 825-6017.
