Subsidized and Private Pay Before & After School Program (TK-6)

The GUSD Before and After School Program offers enrichment and resources to enhance classroom learning for students in grades TK-6. Students' daily routines include homework time, indoor and outdoor activities such as sports and recreation, arts and crafts, science and technology, literacy and numeracy, music, and theme-based projects. The program incorporates grade-level academic standards in a student-centered, stimulating environment that meets the individual needs, interests, and differences of each student.
- Private pay and subsidized spaces are available
Program hours are 6:30 a.m. until school begins and from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m.
In addition, camp programs are available from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during, fall, winter, spring, and summer breaks.

Subsidized Spaces for Income-Eligible Students
Subsidized spaces are located at the following schools: Balboa, Cerritos, Columbus, Edison, Franklin, Fremont, Jefferson, Keppel, La Crescenta, Lincoln, Mann, Marshall, Muir, Valley View, Verdugo Woodlands, and R.D. White.
Eligibility Requirements for Subsidized Services:- Families must be income-eligible
- Both parents/adults in household must be working or in a vocational training program
- Fees vary according to family size and income
