Hello. Welcome to our wonderful 3rd grade class! My name is Sylvia Martinez. While this is only my second year at White, I come to you from Horace Mann (here in Glendale) where I taught for 16 years. I attended Cal State Northridge where I received my teaching credential and Master's Degree in Education. I've taught kindergarten, second, third, and fourth grade and am currently back to teaching third grade. I'm excited about helping your child and taking them to the next level of learning as I incorporate collaboration, communication, creativity, and  critical thinking in all subject areas. Communicating and collaborating with parents is important to me, so I regularly send notes or make calls home. I encourage you to contact me if you have any comments and/or questions.
