Narine Shakhramanyan began her career at GUSD as an educational assistant at Daily Alan  High in La Crescenta, CA in 1999. Since then she had worked as a substitute teacher with long-term contracts mostly in kidregarten and second grade. Mrs. Shakhramanyan has been teaching 1st grade FLAG in  R. D. White Elementary since  2012. She holds a bachelor's degree in linguistics from Yerevan State Institute of Foreign Languages,  credentials and master's degree in Cross-Cultural Education with CLAD/BCLAD certification from National University.
