HOMEWORK/ASSIGNMENT HELP - After School Homework Center is available Monday through Thursday, 3-4 pm, at the MMS 6/7 Library, and is staffed by a teacher. Also, please contact your student's teachers if you have concerns. Teachers may be available to meet before or after school.

COLLEGE BOUND Scholarship

The College Bound Scholarship (CBS) offers the promise of significant tuition assistance, as well as contributions toward textbook purchases to qualifying 7th and 8th graders in Washington. The tuition is covered at public college rates but the scholarship can be used at two and four-year public and private colleges and universities.The stipend for books is up to $500 per year. For the qualified student, this scholarship "kicks in"after other US and State financial aid has been allotted.

If your child plans to further schooling after high school and you're wondering how you're going to be able to pay for it, please consider applying for this scholarship between the beginning of their 7th grade year and before June 30 of their 8th grade year. The criteria for qualification include:

  • Graduating with at least a 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA)
  • Completing a financial aid application (FAFSA) during high school
  • Applying for admission into a Washington college
  • Remaining crime free
  • Meeting the family income requirements.
