The Beattie Assistance Team Is open to any student who wishes to better their community. It was initially started to assist students meet the volunteering component for scholarships as many of them had part time jobs or lacked transportation to volunteer. Most frequently we go across the street to hang out with the Grace Manor residents but have also written letters to deployed military members, made no-sew throw blankets for a women’s shelter, and assisted other VSO’s with the picnic benches.
