State Rep. Rob Mercuri congratulates students, tours career center
Pennsylvania state Rep. Rob Mercuri visited the career center on Monday, Oct. 18 to congratulate several Carpentry and Building Construction students for their achievements and to take a tour of several programs.
Rep. Mercuri first gave Northgate’s Ryan Geeting, Pine-Richland’s Graydon Sherron and North Allegheny’s Shane O’Neal and Marc Sostmann certificates of congratulations for their National Championship in the National Association of Home Builder's Residential Construction Management competition. He also honored the program's instructors.
A.W. Beattie Executive Director Eric Heasley then showed several of the career center's program labs to Rep. Mercuri, and they discussed the experiences of students in a variety of programs, their career and post-secondary trajectories, and the outlook of continuing to supply programs with state-of-the-art equipment and resources.
