Looking Ahead: 2020-21 School Year

Dear A.W. Beattie family,

The A.W. Beattie Career Center staff will be working throughout the summer on our plan for reopening the Career Center for student instructional activities in August. We are reviewing information and guidance that is received through the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the Allegheny County Health Department and a variety of other resources. As we assemble the Career Center’s Health and Safety plan for reopening under this guidance, we will continue to keep you informed. Our efforts are in combination with the nine participating consortium school districts.

In mid-July, each registered family will receive a packet of information related to students returning in the fall along with an introductory letter from their instructor related to items needed for their program of study, such as tools and uniforms. We ask that each family complete the student information packet that will be enclosed and return those forms in the self-addressed envelope that will be provided so that we have the most current information for all students. If you do not receive a student information packet by July 25th, please call 412-847-1902 to ensure that a packet is mailed to you.

As the return to school plan develops throughout the summer we will provide additional information on our website. We wish each family an enjoyable, relaxing and safe summer.
