A.W. Beattie Coronavirus Update as of March 16, 2020

A.W. Beattie Career Center is closed.
The Career Center will not reopen for instruction before March 30, 2020.

All student events and activities associated with A.W. Beattie Career Center are cancelled through this time frame.

The Career Center will continue to follow guidance from the Allegheny County Health Department, PA Department of Health, PA Department of Education and the Centers for Disease Control during the closure, and we will reevaluate as necessary.

The Career Center will not provide any type of instructional plan until we receive detailed directions from the PA Department of Education. We will continue to provide updates on the Career Center website and our social media accounts as needed.

Mrs. Vano, the Career Center’s Cooperative Education Coordinator, will be in contact with families and employers during the closure to provide a co-op program update.

The building will be open 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Monday and Tuesday for any student who needs to retrieve items from their lockers, including uniforms for cleaning.
