Dear A. W. Beattie Students and Families,

Everyone from the Career Center wishes your family health and safety.

Please, click here [CONTENT_REVIEW InternalLink] as we salute A.W. Beattie graduates that are serving on the front lines to protect all of us.

With the continued order of Governor Tom Wolf that all Pennsylvania school buildings remain closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic year, the Career Center has to be working to create plans for moving forward.

  • Grading: Attached at the top of this update is an explanation of grading for the 4th quarter and the grading process for the end of the year. Final report cards will be mailed to all students at the end of the year. The 4th quarter will end on May 22nd or seniors and on May 29th for students in grades 10-11.
  • Senior Activities: Members of the Career Center staff and the Beattie Ambassadors are working on activities to recognize the class of 2020. Please, stay tuned for updated information.
  • Retrieving Personal Items:  At this time we are not able to allow students to pick-up their belongings from their lockers because of the ongoing “shelter in place” and social distancing guideline.  When we have the ability to begin that process we will establish a system to manage student entrance times and post that updated notice.

To our students enrolling for the first time for the 2020-2021 - welcome aboard.  Your student enrollment applications are being received by the Career Center and we are enrolling you in the outstanding CTE program area that you have selected.

As we continue to work through the changing format of education today, understand that we will continue to be here to support all of our students, in this new normal.  Teachers, Learning Facilitators, ESL Support, and the School Counselors will continue to provide learning opportunities and support through the remainder of the school year, as outlined above.

We continue to be most appreciative for everyone’s patience, cooperation, and understanding as we all work through this difficult situation together.  To our students, we are very proud of your continued efforts, and we applaud your efforts.

Be Safe –
